About
Stacey Schmidt is lead counsel of the divorce and family law team at Schmidt and Gladstone. She received her education at Brigham Young University graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1989, and continuing on to the J Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young for her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1992.
Stacey has extensive litigation experience in family, domestic, and public interest law. Working with Utah Legal Services she specialized in assisting those in domestic violence situations; she became the managing attorney for the state-wide domestic unit over 9 attorneys and numerous staff in courts throughout the state. Her legal experience has equipped her with the tools to protect her client’s interest in divorce, custody, property, and domestic law. Stacey loves spending time with her family, skiing, playing sports. Originally from Alberta, Canada she has a rich native heritage and legal background. Her great-grandfather was the first Native Senator in Canada and her Father is a Professional Cowboy and retired lawyer in Canada.
